A good journey across China, of course, must include the rail network. Too often, though, travellers rush through stations, forgetting to pause, even for a second, and discover the hidden beauty in them. Begun in 2017, and now made a permanent project post-Covid, the journey takes riders across all railway stations across Greater China, and soon, metro stations as well.
中国的完美旅途中，铁路网不可缺席。不过，太多乘客只是「通过」各站，过于匆忙，未能驻留在车站里发现其美丽。2017 年起，此程带着乘客发现两岸四地各铁路车站（同样将会包括地铁站）。疫后，这项探索已经成为长期事项，会带各位去更多的铁路车站及其所在地方。
Everyday Rail English
铁路英文一天一句
Starting from 2013, David began the Everyday Rail English campaign to improve the competency of railway crew in China. Now optimised to better serve crew with China becoming visa-free to especially more Europeans, the easy-to-learn plain-English campaign eradicates Chinglish, and makes the railways more accessible to all from abroad.
2013 年起，冯琰开始以「铁路英文一天一句」行动，改善中国铁路工作人员的英文水平。现在，这个行动正因中国对更多欧洲国家实行免签而进一步升级。该行动通过学习简单又专业英文，消除「中式英文」等语言沟通障碍，并让中国铁路更好与外籍乘客互动。

After the horrendous Wenzhou train crash, the future of China’s HSR seemed to hang in the balance. In 2013, David put forward a list of 100 suggestions for the railways. The vast majority have been realised in part, or in full. In 2024, after the pandemic, he came out with a new set of 100 suggestions, centred on high-quality development. now adding advanced technology (including AI), the “Belt and Road” and international rail transport, and more.
在温州列车事故后，中国高速铁路的未来曾充满许多未知数。2013 年，冯琰向铁路提出 100 项改善建议。如今，这些建议已经大部分得以部分或全面落实。疫后，冯琰于 2024 年再次向铁路围绕「高质量发展」，提出 100 条建议，并将高科技（如人工智能），「一带一路」及国际铁路运输等，纳入其中。

David has keynoted TEDx with his rail talk, and has spoken at key trade shows, to universities and other institutions of research, in culture and technology centres, and to rail crew across Europe, Asia, and Oceania, on the railways.
